ASSESSMENT | DIAGNOSIS | TREATMENT
When you decide to have your ADHD assessment at the Warren Neurodiversity Service, we take your care incredibly seriously. Our assessment process is thorough and we will ensure you are guided, every step of the way, to understand the process and, potentially, your diagnosis.
Adult ADHD assessment:
When you book your ADHD assessment with The WNS, you’ll begin by completing forms about your experiences and the challenges that led you to consider ADHD as a possibility.
We’ll also ask a relative or friend to fill out similar forms to provide additional insights, helping us build a well-rounded understanding of your situation.
Once we receive the completed forms, we’ll confirm the date of your assessment.
During your 90-minute appointment with one of our ADHD specialists, they will ask you a variety of questions to thoroughly evaluate your concerns.
After the assessment, you’ll either receive a diagnosis or, if ADHD is not identified, clear guidance on the next steps you should take.

Child ADHD assessment:
The ADHD assessment process for a child is more detailed - it gathers information from both parents/guardians and the child’s school or educational setting.
Parents/guardians and teachers will be asked to complete forms outlining their child’s difficulties and challenges related to potential ADHD.
Once the forms have been submitted, an appointment will be scheduled for the parents to meet with an ADHD specialist to discuss the child’s history.
A second appointment will then be arranged for the parent/guardian and the child to meet with the specialist for the second part of the assessment.
At the conclusion of the assessment, you will receive the child’s diagnosis or guidance on the next steps to best support them moving forward.
